Our education offering caters to all equestrians — from professionals such as coaches, grooms, ride leaders and centre managers, to those who hack out or carriage drive for fun, or volunteer in access, welfare or safety.
We hope that a significant percentage of our members will at some point complete a BHS qualification - whether that is as part of a professional career pathway, the highly acclaimed Ride Safe Award (which are commended in the Highway Code), or by encouraging your children to take part in Pony Stars which is helping youngsters to discover, develop and nurture their love for ponies and the outdoors.
With over 90 BHS accredited qualifications, every year we typically complete over 3,000 professional career assessments and support over 5,000 learners through our Challenge Awards.

Recreational riding awards
We offer a range of exciting recreational riding awards which will develop your confidence, skills and knowledge with all things horsey. Our Pony Stars and Horse Explorers awards are designed specifically for younger riders, but anyone is welcome to give them a go.
