A great day out beckons horse riders so why not join us for the BHS and West Devon Riding Club 'WarHorse' Pleasure Ride!
There are long (10-12miles) and short (3-4 miles) route options and everyone is welcome!
This ride will take you over the hauntingly beautiful moorland of Dartmoor. This ancient landscape is characterized by rolling hills, vast granite tors, gorgeous green valleys, and pristine rivers. The long route will pass close to Ditsworthy Warren House and areas that were featured in the film 'War Horse'. The short route tracks along part of the old railway line to Princetown with stunning views overlooking Burrator reservoir with view extending towards the dramatic landscape of the film. The ride then follows ancient tracks through forestry and crosses ancient bridges before heading back across Yennadon Down with views to Cornwall and Plymouth Sound.

The money raised from this ride will be split between the West Devon Riding Club and the BHS Ride Out UK Fund which preserves and creates off-road routes for equestrians across the UK. Your support will help horses and riders having safe places to ride.
