About Elaine...

Elaine has passed the Intermediate level exams and received LANTRA certification in Lorinary Science through the Neue Schule academy. Elaine is a holder of the Monty Roberts PCertH and a Level 3 Enlightened Equitation Teacher, training both horse and rider from beginner to beyond. Specialising in Myler bits, having trained with Dale Myler when the bits first came into the UK, she has completed full training from South Africa on Bombers Bits to complement the range of dressage legal bits that she can recommend.

Elaine has been involved with horses for nearly 55 years. She competed on her home-bred horse, Wulfie, at International 3* Eventing (Long Format) and BD Advanced Medium. Wulf is happily retired at 32 now and Elaine is beginning to have fun in Working Equitation with his 19 yr old sister, Echo, who has also competed in BE and BD.

Elaine started her own online BETA accredited business in 2004 and then concentrated on her consultation work from 2009, taking a holistic view of horses' behaviour and the reasons for it, following her own extensive training in classical riding, horse behaviour, in-hand training, and bits & bitting.

Elaine combines her skills in these different areas, working with the other specialists involved with the horse and rider, to arrive at the most suitable bit for them all to achieve a harmonious & confident partnership, both at home and in more exciting environments.
