Ashlyn Richards

About Me

I grew up in Canada and moved to the U.K. in 2017, first living in London and working at Hyde Park stables. Horses and riding have always been apart of my life and I started in Canadian Pony club when I was 6. I mainly Evented when I was younger; however, I also competed in Show Jumping, Dressage, and Mounted games. Currently, I focus mainly on Dressage for myself, and am a British Dressage trainee judge. I am very passionate about helping riders of all ages to build confidence and grow the bond between themselves and their horses. Because of my own experiences learning to ride, I have a very patient compassionate approach to teaching, especially with children. I am also an RDA coach and have years of experience teaching riders with a variety disabilities. I live in central Newcastle but am happy to travel.
