Emma Newsam

I come from a very horsey family. I first sat on a pony as a baby and still ride horses today!

I have been fortunate enough to have trained with some great horsemen and horsewomen over the past 25 years - Martin Plewa, Jean-Luc Force, Arnaud Boiteau, Jane O'Flynn, Ian Woodhead and Yvette Truesdale. I believe in the importance of passing on equestrian knowledge to the younger generations in a positive and encouraging manner. I first started coaching at 17 years old! I am a coach in our pony club branch and coach lots of younger kids and amateurs at our yard.
I have a passion training horses for competition. My husband and I run a professional eventing yard in Co Down where we train & produce horses from birth right up to 5 star level. I have competed at 4 star level in eventing and showjumped up to 1.35m level.
