About us

Russell's Equestrian Centre was founded in 1974 by the present day owner Carol Boulton. We specialise in individual and group tuition for adults and children at all levels from beginners to advanced riders. We are committed to educating riders in Ethical and Holistic training methods, and enabling our clients to be the best rider that they can be.

Russell's Equestrian centre is fully licensed and insured Approved by the ABRS+. We hold the RDA accessibility mark. We are a Pony Club Centre. Russell's Equestrian Centre strives for recognition as a centre of excellence in equine related activities through the use of traditional and innovative riding methodologies, which include Clicker Training, NLP, RWYM® and EAGALA.

In 1993 the Epona Trust was established to accommodate the increasing number of horses and ponies that need specialist care and attention to fulfil a normal and happy working life. We also provide a tailored livery to suit all budgets and lifestyles and we specialise in helping people when buying and keeping their first horse.
