I have dedicated my life to horses both professionally and personally, with a BSc in Equine Studies, an MSc in Equine Science, and over 15 years of industry experience. I have taught riding to a wide age range, re-trained racehorses, and backed young stock for leisure and competition. I have worked across various professional and private yards, including hunt yards, international dealers, and professional showjumping establishments. I am a BHS APC (with distinction), UKCC2, and an experienced Equine FE and HE Lecturer, as well as a Practitioner Member of the International Society of Equitation Science.

My MSc focused on equine behaviour, where I conducted unique research into horses’ nocturnal foraging, locomotion, and sleep behaviours, a relatively unexplored area in equine science. I presented this research at the 2022 International Society of Equitation Science (ISES) Conference at Hartpury University and the European Workshop on Equine Nutrition (EWEN) the same year.

Additionally, I have worked for The Donkey Sanctuary as a Farm Supervisor, gaining valuable experience with donkeys and mules, particularly in behavioural assessment and implementing behaviour modification plans to support their rehoming.
