About Me

Experience: extensive experience teaching a range of abilities of riders on the flat and over fences. Worked at various Riding Schools and Equestrian Colleges in the region, as an Instructor and have run many successful BHS training courses. Have worked as a freelance coach for many years specialising in developing the relationship between horse & rider and helping clients to reach their individual equine goals be that enjoying hacking out safely to competing successfully. I worked with Geraldine Savage & her wonderful horse Blue, who went on to win a bronze medal at the 2012 Paralympic Games.
Am an approachable & supportive coach who adapts style to meet the individual needs of each horse/rider combination. I am based on the Isle of Axeholme, North Lincolnshire but happy to travel to yards within a 20 mile radius.
Qualifications: BHS Level 3 Coach in Complete Horsemanship, BHS Stage 4 Horse Knowledge & Care - Intermediate Stable Manager (BHS level 5), EQL Certificate of Unit Credit: Coach a Rider over Fences for Competition (level 5), Coach a group of Riders for Improvement (level 5), Principles of Equitation for Equestrian Coaches (level 4), BHS NVQ L3 in Horse Care & Management including Schooling Horses as a Specialist Unit.
