BHS Dorset invite you to have a go at Polo. The coaches at the Dorset Polo Club will take you through the basics and guide you towards your first chukka. No previous experience necessary but must be able to trot and have tried canter as a minimum. All polo equipment will be provided but you will need to bring your own hat, boots and body protector (if you wish to wear one.)

An essentials of saddle fitting day aimed at coaches, owners and riders to give them greater understanding as to what's involved. The aim is not to turn them into amateur saddle fitters, but to give them tools to spot potential problems, notice unbalanced saddles, and pick up on cues from horses that indicate saddle fit could be an issue and should be checked by a qualified professional.

BHS Training for Stage 2 and 3 Teach Assessments, covering Stage 2 group lessons and Stage 3 individual dressage, and semi private simulated xc lessons.

For those who would like to, there will be opportunity for you to coach on the day or you are welcome to just come along and spectate.

We are extremely lucky to welcome Jo Winfield FBHS to deliver this informative training day which will focus on how to improve the basic way of going using innovative polework exercises.

We are delighted to be able to offer BHS Bedfordshire’s popular sponsored ride in aid of East Anglian Air Ambulance and The British Horse Society, at Shuttleworth Park.  Net proceeds will be shared 50:50 between the two charities.  This rescheduled event is now on Sunday 8th June

ome and spend a day with the British Horse Society whilst enjoying the company of your horse and meeting like minded others in the most beautiful setting of Ickworth Park.

The day will include ridden group training sessions; flatwork, show jumping and XC, unmounted workshops, refreshments & lunch as well as a lovely rosette to take home.

Flatwork training in the morning with jumping/pole work in the afternoon.

The café is open so why not come for the day and do a morning and an afternoon session. Day stables are available for your horse to relax while you enjoy your lunch.

These are friendly and relaxed group sessions that last approx. 1hr and there will be a maximum of 4 riders per group.

We'll start the day with showjumping or polework lessons in the beautifully landscaped Wombat arena. After lunch, we'll head out to the cross-country course, where there are a huge variety of fences from 30cm to Advanced. There are steps, ditches, waters and banks for those who don't want to take off to play with. Our coaches are always awesome at working with riders and horses of all levels of experience, and are fantastic at building confidence - riders almost always do more than they expect to!
